I chose this song for compassionate love because this love is based on understanding and respect. The wife/girlfriend is being hit on by all these men and instead of being obnoxious, the husband/boyfriend trusts her to stay faithful to him. The wife/girlfriend has the same respect for her man by not flirting back or encouraging their advances, she stays committed to her husband/boyfriend.

For passionate love I chose On My Own to represent the negative affects this type of love can have on a person. If this love is unrequited or not reciprocated, the person will experience feelings of sadness and despair. Eponine, the character who sings this song in the musical Les Miserables, is in love with Marius who is in love with another girl. In On My Own, Eponine pretends what life would be like if Marius returned her feelings. She realizes this is an unrequited love but remains foolishly hopeful. After a roller coaster of emotional ups and downs by the end of the song she finally accepts that they will never be together.

For affection there are multiple directions you could go: spouse, mentor/student, parent/child, friendship. I chose to focus on family affection. The song Daughters is a mixture of affection between lovers and parental affection. It starts off with a man talking about the girl he loves but then shifts to the family type of affection. It talks about how fathers and mothers should treat their daughter, love her and protect her and treat her in the best way possible.

Infatuation is basically love at first sight. Most of the time it doesn't last but sometimes it evolves into a compassionate or even unconditional love. The song i chose is actually 2 songs put together and is also from Les Miserables. The characters that are the focus are Marius and Cosette who have an accidental meeting and fall in love at first sight. At the beginning Cosette asks if people can really fall in love so fast. The thing is they don't know anything about each other, they don;t even know the other person's name yet they claim to love each other. The rest of the song is basically them talking about how their lives began the moment they met. A Heart Full of Love is them talking for the first time and declaring their undying love for each other even if they don't know the other person on a personal level.

At the beginning of the songs it goes, :Although we both lie close together, we feel miles apart inside". That is how empty love works, there's still a commitment but no passion or friendship. Later in the sing it is revealed that they got a divorce which often times happens in cases of empty love.

Fatuous love is a very passionate and almost unhealthy love because there is no friendship to build the foundation of their relationship. Love the Way You Lie is about a couple that has plenty of passion and heat in their relationship. They probably rushed into things too fast and once the honeymoon stage was over there was nothing left, which is why the relationship turned aggressive.

Unconditional love is kind of like true love in my opinion. Its authentic and genuine and this song represents that. The guy will do anything for the person he love, climb any mountain, cross any sea. He says every time he's with them it feels like the first time and that to me shows how deep his feelings go. He holds a deep unconditional love for this person and he wants them to know it.

Conditional love is a selfish love. Basically its saying i'll love you if you buy me this or do this for me. In Can't Buy Me Love is a man listing all the things typical women ask for in return for "love"; diamond rings, money, anything. then he goes on to say he doesn't care too much for money, it can buy him love, actual love.

Friend love is pretty self explanatory, a love between friends.The song I chose for this is a bromance between Batman and Robin. It's from a parody musical about Batman. Batman and Robin are long lost brothers who found each other and love each other like family. They are bros, amigos, and where they go they go together. Basic love between best friends.

There's a saying that goes you have to love yourself before you can love another. Self- love is loving and accepting oneself for who they are. I'm Too Sexy seemed fitting because the entire song is a man just talking about how sexy he is. He is well aware of how good he looks and owns it. This is self love at its finest.
